Youth Advise

Did You Know?

• More people die from suicide than from homicide.
• For young people 15-24 years old, suicide is the third leading cause of death.
• 80% of people that seek treatment for depression are treated successfully.

If you feel suicidal, please read these warning signs and call the suicide hotline immediately!

Youth Advise is here to help. We have several ways to privately speak to one of our counselors - see below.

It's not easy being a young person now-a-days.
Do any of these sound familiar?

Pressure from school.
Fighting with your parents.
Fighting with your friends.
Physical and sexual abuse.
Being dumped by boyfriends and girlfriends.
Drug, alcohol, porn and sex addictions.
Problems with your sexual orientation.
Cutting, burning or general self abuse.
Being picked on and getting into fights.
Your friends abandoning you.
General depression from simple day to day life.
The list goes on!

You are not alone and sometimes all you need is someone to talk to. Our trained youth and addiction counselors are just an e-mail, text or chat away!

All conversations are kept confidential and completely anonymous and private.

You can chat on-line via MSN, YAHOO & AIM or via e-mail or MySpace and now you can even chat via Cell Phone Texting - whichever you are most comfortable with.

Our trained counselors do not dispense drugs, we only dispense advise to help you through the crisis you are experiencing.

If you feel suicidal, please call the suicide hotline immediately!
